Congrats to the families who received referrals today. It's nice to see that the list is finally on the move again. Meanwhile, we continue to wait for our little Nyah.
Jim and I have been together for over 20 years (can you believe it).... We met in college and have now been married for 15 years. We have two boys; Frank is 19 years old and Nikolaus is 12. Jim and I are both professors. He is a physicist at Appalacian State University and I teach nursing at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. We have always been very committed to adoption and are looking forward to our next journey to Ethiopia.
Thank you for visiting our adoption website. We are so excited to be adopting a little girl from Ethiopia. Jim and I have contemplated this decision and committment for many years. We have a son who is now 19 that was adopted at the age of 5 and a biological son who is now 12. Where did the time go........ Anyway, we have completed the paperwork phase of the adoption and are finally approved. The next step is to be placed on the waiting list. The cost of the entire adoption is approximately $22,000 with travel expenses to Ethiopia. To date we have paid a little over $8,000 of it. Now its time to start the fundraising process. We currently have a website in which you can order coffee products from. We recieve a portion of the profit for the adoption fund. Additionally, we will be trying to raise money through selling reusable grocery bags over the holidays. If you have any suggestions on additional projects to raise the funds, please let us know. We will keep you updated on the progress of the adoption on this site as well as on Facebook. Again, thank you for visiting our site and we hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
